It's great to have a long weekend, I love them! Even though we probs wont go far, it's still nice to have Paul off work and if the weathers nice, chill in the garden or go visiting. We usually steer clear of the beach the traffic jams are horrendous on bank hols. We prefer to go to the beach in the early evening, have some tea down there, and a walk and hit the arcades as it cools off. Maybe we'll go, who knows
Hope you all enjoy your day off! Anyone got anything planned for this weekend?
Kris, do you celebrate May Day?

May Day I have never heard of it, really. Or maybe I have and just didn't realize it. Idk. _________________ Sometimes I don't think birds are really talking to each other. They are just making fun of police sirens.

May day is called labour Day or International workers day in other countries i think.
We went to B&Q today n the traffic was horrendous, Jason pointed to a queue of cars at a roundabout n said that was the queue for Huntstanton, over 12 miles away !
We'll not do too much i've finally got him out into the garden so hopefully we'll be sorting that n the other bits n bobs we still have to do around the house. _________________

We went to Do-it-All too Shirley, and was about to go down the bypass and spotted the traffic jam right back there!! So we went round the roundabout and tried to get through town, it took us half hour fgs!! The car fan didn't cut in and the temp gauge was in the red, so we had to abandon our journey to pick Scott up to come bring the car home so Paul could pick him up on his m/b instead. There were hundreds of caravans and bikers on the bypass all trying to get to the beach, as always. _________________

We don't have May Day but we have Labour Day which is always the first Monday in September. (The US is the same). This month Canada also has Victoria Day which is the third Monday in May.
Shelley was naughty last night?
Enjoy your long weekend everyone _________________

didn't have any monday plans, but ended up going to Sandringham for half the afternoon, throwing a whistling 'rugby ball with flights' (!) to one another, laying in the sunshine, then had a cup of tea with the Queen.... | Serenity wrote: | | We went to Do-it-All too Shirley.... |
