Are any of you members on this site?
I hear that you don't have to be a paid member now to send messages to friends.

I'm a member of FriendsReunited, I have been for years and yeah it's free now to send a message I think that's because of sites like Bebo n Facebook.
Talking of Facebook mine it's going mad today i've just had messages from 2 people, one of which i haven't seen from school the other i haven't seen in 15 years..I'm gobsmacked ! _________________

I'm a member of FR but I haven't been on there for years, I refused to pay to contact people so it's great that it's free now, I might take a look! As for facebook, I only made an account to promote chitchat, and I've now got a few friends on there, mostly family, but I had someone message me that I knew from infant school up untill I left, and they said hello, and it was nice to see what I look like after 25 years!! lol I was gobsmacked _________________

Facebook, Myspace, Bebo etc are all sites where you basically have a profile of yourself. It's like having a web page, on it you put your info, where you live, your photo etc, you can then search for people you know and their pages. Add them as friends, they can message you, or post comments on your wall. You can add quizzes and tests to your page too and invite your friends to join in with them. You can search for old school mates, people you have lost contact with etc. It's a social networking thing, so to speak Hope that helps xx _________________

i got introduced to Myspace last summer, by the autumn i was hooked, so much so that i blew my savings on a new PC to go online with.
Myspace is great for people wanting an arty profile page, as you can change your background picture & text colour (i use mytheme.com), add music videos, put on photos, etc. etc. it's a marvellous promotional tool for anyone working in media, as you can put on your latest songs, home movies, modelling photos, write a blog/diary, etc. or you can just use it for fun!! (if you click on my web link, that's my Myspace profile page)
i'm now a member of Facebook also. Facebook isn't quite as modify-able as Myspace, but are a number of additive applications/games you can add (some good, some not so good). i know more 'real-life' friends on Facebook, but have met more people on Myspace.
on both of them you can select certain privacy settings, so only your friends can view your details.
