I have been given a book to read called ugly by Constance Briscoe , the true story of her childhood/upbringing , a very sad story , how she survived is a miracle a young girl with true courage at such a young age ,a survivor .
Constance is now a barrister and part-time judge the first in the UK .
this book makes you sit down and look at your own up bringing.
I would recommend the book to anyone young or old .

If you like true stories , this books for you

One of my old net buddies told me this was brill too, and insisted for me not to buy it as she would send it to me.....3 years later lol......I nearly treat myself to it the other month, it was only about 3 quid in the sale in the book shop....will deffo go get it. I love these types of stories too.

Another great read was three books true story following on. A Child Called It...A Man Called Dave, and can't remember what the other was. They were a harrowing read, it's amazing how a spirit can survive such horrendous neglect and wickedness. Look out for them!
