A while ago i wrote and told you about Seymour and his troubles. Well, a few weeks ago we both picked up what we assumed was a chest infection. For me it was. But when Seymour, who suffered with it much more than i did, went to the Doctors, he told him he had C.O.P.D. (Cronic Obstructive Pulmanary Descease). He took the news in his usual matter of fact way. He's still life and soul of the party. I really don't know how he does it. For him it's 'oh well, life goes on'. Me, i'm worried because my mother died last year and she had C.O.P.D.
On a lighter note, if there is one, my daughter who lives up in Lincs and has been for the last 7 yrs since marrying a complete neandethol, is moving back to Kent.We have 3 grandchildren, twins of 4 and a 5 month old. that we've only seen them on occasions due to the distance. She's leaving the neandethol behind. We're counting the days when she moves back here on the 15th Dec and their back in our lives again. That will be the best xmas present ever. I should point out that 5 month old Thomas has a different father and not the Northern Hillbillies. Unfortunately the other guy, who a lovely guy, is off to Australia next year. Hopefully all this excitement with the grandchildren coming to live round the corner, will cheer us up. My son who lives not far from us, and daughter-in-law gave us another grandchild, 6 month old James. We don't see them very often as they are both Police Officers.
Let's hope things settle down where Seymour is concerned. He may be life and soul but the cracks are beginning to show.

That really is an unfair blow for Seymour to be diagnosed with yet another condition! You really must feel like God's against you But as always it seems Seymour will take this in his stride, and for that fact so must you. He truly sounds like a fighter, thats so commendable, and his wicked sense of humour will always shine through. It's hard not to worry especially after you've seen your mum with the same illness. But each person is different, and you really have to stop worrying about the future tomorrows and concentrate on making the 'todays' the best they can be (((((((MissP + Seymour)))))))))
Great news that your daughter will be moving closer, theres no more joy than that of having family and young ones close, especially at times like this. I bet you're going to have a fab christmas!!! Keep thinking positive, love and best wishes coming your way xxxxxxxx _________________

Thinking of you all Miss P and Seymour. I feel that Debs has expressed my own feeling well about this. Keep your chin up and enjoy each day.

My little flower of the south has been at it again. She neglected to mention that i've now give up smoking. Something else i must add to the list. She was right about one thing though, the cracks are beginning to show a little. Even with my cavalere outlook on life, there comes a breaking point. My outlook on life still hasn't changed. It doesn't worry me. I sometimes wonder where i got it from. My mother hates being ill, my father was always at deaths door even if he stubbed his toe. My brother is worse than my father used to be. So it beats me where this 'couldn't give a monkies attitude came from. To quote my favorite comedien:
"am i bovvered?"
"look at this face, is it bovvered?"
"I ain't bovvered. Parkinson's, Lymphodema, Osteo arthritis, trapped nerve, COPD, I AIN'T BOVVERED".
That's me all over. _________________

you sound really sad and deflated seymour (wish i knew your real name) you are absolutely right , there comes a time when putting a brave face on just doesnt cut it anymore. actually by letting your guard down, your family will be able to help you more...you have got to let them in on your feelings. you may worry that by doing so THEY will worry more...i dont think this is the case, they will know exactly what they are dealing with and it will absolutely bring you closer together.
as for the 'i dont give a crap' attitude, i dont believe it for a minute.
take care, look after yourself and stick two fingers up to your illness...in fact, i think i'll join you! x x x x x x _________________ xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx JO xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It's Michael actually. I've also given up smoking as of yesterday. No patches or Chewing gum or empty tubes to suck on, nothing. We'll see how it goes. It's quite easy so far. _________________

He told me not to go out i the cold air but won't come and visit me cos i'm able to get to him. Is it me or did he just say don't go out. I don't understand doctors. I'll let you know how i get on.
