Here Comes the Sun is definitely one of my favourite songs ever! You may have to let the link load for a bit....but after that...ENJOY!! It's well worth it! I love the Beatles...I love Paul McCartney and...this song....

Okay...I'll let u guys in on a little tidbit...and why I love this song so much...I came to love it while I was living in Paris,,, I was there for a few months all paid for by my mom! As she had sent me to Europe to go to Eurocentres de Paris - an international university student study abroad centre (near Le Sarbonne) in the Odeon district (the latin quarter of france)!!!! WoW,,,, well I completed the 3 months of school and I was supposed to go back home to Canada...BUT I DID NOT WANT TO GO!!!

I loved Paris sooo much...and all the friends and ppl I met there I just couldn't go home yet...so I decided to stay.

I found a job working as an Au Pair for a woman (actually a very famous woman who was a doctor and worked closely with Francois Mitterand) YES!!!! the president of France! She had an 11 year old girl who needed to improve her English and for a couple months I lived with them and helped her with her English (but more so I thought she helped me with my french!!! Anyways,  I stayed with them in Le Banlieu (the suburbs of Paris - in a town called Vincenne).

After that I still didn't want to go home to Canada so I moved to MOntparnasse Bienvenue in Paris...in this dumpy little flat and met this guy and together we busked in the metro together...he played lead guitar while I played ryhthm guitar and sang to infamous songs such as " Here comes the Sun! "

We made some money enuff to survive on at some food banks and stuff...I just loved it there and the whole idea of backpacking and makin it thru foreign countries on my own ya know!
Later I even travelled to the south of France...down to Nice and Monaco and then crossed the border to Italy and made my way (by the RER) down to Naples and Pompeii! I had a lovely time visiting my Italian relatives there ...and ohhhh I think I gained 10 pounds in just a couple of weeks staying with them! GAWD their food was just incredible!!!

Anyways, I never did want to go back to Canada! But....my boyfriend at that time (who kept in close contact with me during my travels and apparently my mom too as they both decided he better come get me...so he sold his HARLEY Davidson bike and came to Europe to meet me AND with him....BROUGHT an engagement ring!!!!

to be continued...

gawd there is so much story after this lol..or maybe not.. coz.. after that...the rest is history!

anyways, I could just listen to this song over and over again!

Oh your younger life sounds so much fun Kris! How great to be a free spirit and go with your whims I can't wait for installment 2 lol...I always find songs remind me of certain times, but none of my 'times' sounds as much fun as yours lol!

lol thx Deb...It WAS fun!...unfortunately installment #2 isn't as exciting lol...I didn't know what I wanted so I listened to my parents and my poet-wanna-be fiance and ventured into married life (sigh) my biggest mistake ever as he was sooo wrong for me, he was cynical, controlling and abusive, an introvert and only wanted to stifle me. Why was I taken in by his dark, mysterious side...idk... We divorced shortly after.
BUT I tell ya this...it was soooo good that I went out exploring the world before I got married or I never would have had those wonderful experiences!
I still desire to travel and see more of the world tho Maybe someday.. after all the student loans, credit card and other debts are paid off Teaching in northwest Canada has been some experience too...but I would rather see Cancun, Mexico or Australia lol

I will forever love the song tho....

Awww but at least you're happy doing what you're doing and with Don at your side. Also keeping your dreams alive and saving them for the future! Lots of us forget our dreams
