I used to love it at workplaces, when they would hold sweeps, and you'd pay 50p to pick a name from a bag. I'd often be lucky enough to win the proize money 
Anyone got bets on? Whats your horse called? I've not done it for a few years now and like today, only knew about it when I saw it advertised on the tv lol

its today .....why dont they give us a big build up like they used to ,im not a betting person but is tradition to pick a few and put 50p on em each way gl all with the betting ......not chose my horses yet lol

Yeah you're right Judy, theres no build up at all like there used to be, thats why I never know about it untill the day arghhh..gl with your horses!

Well hubby puts bet on for me , I don't know horses how them form , wins etc, all i do is pick a number and this time its number 19 bet it falls , last 3 times I've won !!!!

I used ta bet in this every year with my mum but as i'm here now i doubt i'll be doing it now.

i bet and lost but my hubby won £50.00 so not too bad, he bet on 4 horses a fiver to win so hes £30.00 up which is gd

i had 2 bets (only 50p e/w on each horse lol) but one of my horses (snowy morning) came third, doubt i'll get that much but hey i'll get a little bit back!

Oh we have lucky people here lol!!! Anything back is better than falling at the first fence or not being picked to race lol
