Body ShockDid anyone see it at the weekend? The story of a two year old girl in India who was born with 8 limbs? 4 arms and 4 legs, and was worshipped as the Goddess of Wealth. She actually had part of a parasitic twin joined to her. they were joined bottom to bottom, but the parasitic twin had no head. It was heartbreaking to see her. But a surgeon offered to operate and seperate them, to give her some kind of a normal life.....the operation was a success  although she has to undergo one more to bring her legs closer together as her pelvis was recreated and was too wide. They said she's even be able to walk It was amazing.
Below is a picture of her pre op, if you're squeamish please dont look, people would come from miles to see her as they thought she was the reincarnation of the Goddess, her namesake. Her family didn't charge money, they actually hated that people came to stare.
It's wonderful that a doctor cared enough to do this for the girl and her family, free of charge, flying them to the Hospital and paying for all expenses. It took a month before she was allowed home. The family also took up the offer of not going back to their village which was one of the poorest in the world. They were given jobs and a proper house, and the toddler is attending a special school for the disabled to get an education Happy endings, don't ya just love em!!

missed the prog prob be on a gain , how heartbreaking to see , thank god the doctors helped her and her family and given them a better chance in life god bless them all

Never saw programme but remember something being said about the religious aspect from others when this child was born - absolutely amazing what can be done surgically now. Such a pretty child. Hope things work out for her and the family
