car insurancewell i got my reminder this morning cos its due to be renewed next month , it had gone up nearly 70 pounds, was gobsmacked, along with other bills that hve recently gone up i decided to have a mooch about net for something a bit cheaper, anyway ive got it 122 pounds cheaper than my old one and all same things withit to , so am well chuffed, just shows you to shop around

Bloody hell Jules, that's a big saving!!! I always shop around too, and even with ours only being 3rd party fire and theft, and relatively cheap compared to others, I still want a bargain! Expecially when every year you don't claim, youre on max NCB and they STILL put the bugger up!......last two years I've gotten my renewal and it's gone up 20 quid or so, I phone Swinton asking if this is the best deal, oh yes they say. I then look online and can get it 20 quid cheaper...so I ring Swinton and ask for my Ins details and for my NCB proof, and all of a sudden, Ohhhh they can match the online quote! (I've stayed with them for convienience) lol but it does make me laugh. Like Jules says, shop around!

I've been with my insurance comp 4yrs now and every time at renewal I haggle get £30 of then go for how much for cash and get another £10 off so save £40 it's the cheapest I can find and yea it saves all the hassel you have to go through when changing I get fully comp and pay about £10 more then 3rd party bonus .

im with pru at mo and fully comp and new quote was 422 pounds nearly died, thats with road recovery to , actually just realised i got it lloads less was 286 in the end , cant count lokl

Definately pays to shop around. My husband phoned a number of companies when mine was due in January past. I generally pay for fully comp plus protected no claims and he was quoted £203 pounds. This was with my husband as named driver. I went onto the net into their site and entered my particulars for a quote and got a price of £152 same conditions. Phoned them up- told them about their on-site quote and because of my age I eventually ended up with paying £148. This is for a Honda. I move every year unless the increase is reasonable negligible

Thats megga good Hannah!!! I pay practically that for 3rd party fire and theft non protected! I didnt realise you could get fully comp at such good prices!
