Really? How long is it since you passed your test

the only fear i ever had is after you actually pass the test.
as other road users don't know you're a newbie on the road & treat you like an experienced driver (honking the horn, road-rage, etc.).
but don't feel like you're under pressure if you stall it or do anything wrong;
if you get honked at you have a choice, wave & smile, or flick 'em the finger (& run like buggery if they're bigger than you!!!)

been driving 20yrs or so , how driving has changed far to much anger/ impatience on the roads more traffic, idiots , road rage etc I'm sure some drivers haven't got a license some of the stupid things I see beggars believe !!!! also do ocassional driving for work in a merc long wheel base van which is great as you can see frther up the road and whats happening , but the drivers who get behind the van and take such stupid risks to overtake on bends, hills ,traffic lights unbelieveable some of them , the sort of drivers who cause accidents and walk away unhurt , yea I do enjoy driving and been known to give and well they ask for it !!!!!!!! worse case jioning on motorway picking up speed to join traffic and the stupid car in front STOPS forcing me to swerve on to hard shoulder thought I WAS A GONNA THAT DAY !!!!!!!

Crazyguy - I know it may seem a long time to you but it is not really important how long someone takes to learn to drive. This varies greatly from person to person and the important thing is you - and you will know when you are ready to take your test safely and comfortably It is good that you are enjoying it so I wouldn't put too much importance on what others (friends) do or say. happy motoring

I've been learning since I was 17 (Oct 2006, mostly due to lack of funds) and I've got my test booked for a couple of weeks away! Take your time, be patient with it and anything you're weary or unsure of be sure to ask your instructor. If you want to work on a specific area tell your instructor that you'd like to spend some time on it - even if it's just to build your confidence with it or make you more familiar with it. I know Im shocking at parallel parking but I find bay parking not too bad.

first time i drove for real, was when i was 15.
car: daddy's big landrover.
location: road in North Wales (which is actually a stretch of beach, opened daily!!)
good fun when you don't have to pay for the fuel!! (i filled up today - £52!!)

Thanks for the advice there. Yeh I am trying to take my time with it. There are times when it does feel a bit frustrating but I guess thats normal. I just keep telling myself that after every lesson I will keep getting better and one day I will pass that test
