rope swings

we used to live near a little brook/creak with willow trees runnin along the side of it. we used to tie a piece of rope to one of the hanging branches and swing from it, sometimes we would put a tire on the end if we could find one. we would take it in turns swingin from it until someone fell in the brook

good times

My hubby put up a rope swing for our kid's on the green opposite the house, not interfering with anyone, and the damn council came and cut it down, we complained as there was no equipment for the kid's to play on and were told we could done for criminal damage.

I loved rope swings, not that there were many round our way, but there used to be a big one at the 'sandpits' a  nature park close by and we did used to swing about on that if taken there.

Thats awful Amber with the Council, what a load of do gooders, you can't wonder kids hang around, they've taken all the fun out of them doing anything! grrr
