SecurityAnyone heard of this before ??
My son just had new bank card delivered , as i was looking out window the bloke who posted the envelope-was taking my car registration, (parked in drive) well i was out door like a shot lol.
Asked him what he was doing taking reg " it is a security to prove that b/card delivered as many have been pinched in post " Uhh i dont get that i said anyhow waffled on more asked to look at the form he was writing on which looked genuine, but i then asked him for his name and company he worked for ,which he refused to give so now trying to find out info from bank. has anyone else heard of this.,surley a sig would have been sufficent.
Well just got off phone, apprently because they use couriers now this is security so if persons say's they havent recieved card they can say it was deliverd because registration checked out that was correct address uhhhh am i stupid or what???? could be anyones car you could be storing why dont they just knock on door , no answer put card in saying collect your b/card at the bank. Her answer was i will put note on Pc and let them know your not happy .

Thats very strange Amber, and even stranger to take your reg number. It still doesn't prove that he bloody posted it does it! He could have pocketed it quite easily. If THATS security you're better off without it. Even odder, is the fact he wouldn't give his name or Co name? WHY?? They are always telling people to ask for ID ? I'd be inclined to take the matter higher within the bank , even if it doesn't affect you now, it could help someone in the future.
Steph, I'm always getting messages like that, and they want you to verify it was or was not you? FGS don't EVER verify anything, from any site. Go straight to the main site and report it, they'll soon tell you if it's genuine or not

Yeah..I didn't verify it cause I was kinda confused..it seemed they were handling it oddly, but then again, I'd never gotten an email like that. So I decided to leave it alone..

That really sounds strange Amber - I can't understand the reg bit at all. It could have been a visitors car to your house or he could get a reg number from any car sitting on the street - very strange particularly since he wouldn't tell his name or the company. A queer world it is getting to be
