Whats your opinion?

I saw on the news this morning, that the son of Osama Bin Laden, who married an English woman, has now applied for visa's to come and reside in England. Although he claims to have no ties with his father, there has been a lot of speculation about this. Now the authorities have to decide and possibly grant the visas. If they don't, the couple will appeal, and already have human rights lawyers in place and people fighting their case.

Whats your opinion?
Do you think he should be allowed to reside in this country?
Do you think that it's wrong to be tarred with the same brush as your father/parents?
Would you worry, if he was living in the same country as you?

No - I don't think he should be allowed in this country at all.  If he has no affiliation with his father as he states then that is just his tough luck although to be quite frank all these people connected to Bin Laden are zealots and it would be exceedingly hard to believe that the son's upbringing was of a different fashion. It is not a chance I think that any country should take after all the deaths that his father has been responsible for.  I know it is extremely unfair to blame the son, if innocent,  for his fathers deeds but there is always the risk there.  Perhaps if you look at another scenario that his marriage to an English woman could have been well planned for this very thing.  This of course is only my conjecture but it is not the first time that people have been unwittingly used when the occasion suits.

As far as a human rights lawyer is concerned these people on many occasions (as we all know) cause more trouble than they are worth and I feel that these lawyers are partly responsible for the whole issue of human rights being abused and loop holes used in a way that it was never intended to be used.

However you never know which way this government will decide and they will make their decision regardless if that decision causes an outcry or not

no way should he be allowed in this country!! i would be absolutly horrified and worried sick if he was allowed, i hope to god they don't!  i don't believe for one minute he genuinely loves his wife, i think its a ploy to get into this country, but i don't think she's in on it.  i think the al queda foot soldiers are dangerous enough, but his own son, i can't think of anything more dangerous than that.

I agree with everything you have both said. I would be terrified knowing I could be living in the same region as him. I too think she is totally innocent, she just loves him, simple as that and can see no wrong. We have enough terrorists living amongst us who were born in Britain and through beliefs, commit terrible crimes against humanity. Lets pray the government doesn't take this lightly.

If I remember right when it came out she married him. he already has a wife back home ! I saw him on the news this morning  and straight away I thought he had a look of someone very sly , I think she's been duped by him , and NO way should he be allowed into this country , she must have relised the uproar it would cause  I think they've got a bloody nerve trying , don't trust him one bit and if it's approved by the high courts they want shooting !!!!!!!

no.no no, i can just see cell groups being started up and this country will be in big trouble,  by previous photo's  i have seen of him he is def his fathers son ,he is a con artist ,the english wife is blinded by what she believes is love, I really believe it is all a ploy and am concerned.
What is the matter with this goverment they need to open there eyes before it is to late.  I believe this wil go to human rights who wil allow him in, what about our rights. As said we need to close our doors now.

I have already said NO in my earlier post on this but I would like to add that human rights aside this is a matter of commonsense.  What on earth would the government be thinking of if they even contemplated something like this when we and the USA have troops fighting the Taliban at this very moment in time.  Are they carzy?  For once it is time for this government to stand up with a little bit of back bone and a definite NO regardless of which European court says Yes (if the case may be) Let them stand up for once and state that they will not be dictated to on a matter of policy which is ours alone to make.

This country is already paying a high price in many things because this government won't say NO.  The days of "the old school tie" are long gone and is long past time when this government should be looking to the welfare of their own like other countries are already doing for their citizens.  This make me really angry.
