Where are all the good movies?I watch a lot of movies and really love a good comedy or horror flick but haven't seen any in sooooo long, it's frustrating. Is Hollywood just spitting out crap and not caring or is it just that I've seen the best of the best and nothing seems to impress me anymore? I don't know.
The last good movie I saw was The Devil wears Prada. And this was one I never thought I would like because it was about the fasion industry but it was done well. One of my favorites is Without a Paddle. It's just an entertaining feel good movie with some good laughs all through it.
For horrors/thrillers nothing really recent to speak of. The newer version of Cape Fear with Robert Deniro was great and Nick Nolte was in it also. And the fav of all time was The Changling. No blood and guts but a really creepy ghost story and it won some awards also. For anyone who may have heard of him it starred George C. Scott.

No worries Vision, I'm not regimental. Just happy you're posting and making an interesting read for us all. And I think youre right, weve seen it all now, there have been such a lot of great films, its hard for anything else to compare to them ! I've not yet seen the Devil wears Prada, i'll keep my eyes open for it

I'm going to buy it on dvd so I'll lend it to you Serenity, I'll have to watch it when my husband goes out if not he'll laugh all the way through as Meryl Streep is in it and everyone says I look like a young version of her

I must confess that I like watching the old films like
Ben Hur
El Cid
Spartacus
Good cowboy and cavalry ones
I like the epics and the action. A lot of the recent films are very much of a sameness and many don't have really impressive strong leading males like the older films had

good fairly current movies....the bourne ultimatum ....non stop actionand well worth seeing....another is no fear with jody foster very good and another non stop movie. go and see and enjoy .....andypisces
