The best collection of books I've ever read, has to be the Patricia Cornwell books. The whole series of Dr Kay Scarpetta, were so good, I was totally engrossed. Kay is a forensic pathologist, investigator. She's first on the scene of any murders, then tries to piece together all the evidence she finds, carries out post mortems etc. These books are very gripping, and quite gory. Great explanation in detail of her work and you really get drawn into the storys. Theres quite a few books in this series, I'll try to find a list for you. But anyone who likes an edgy read, that keeps you enthralled then these are the ones for you!
Well I started reading Gloria Hunnifords book Next to you about a year and a half ago, But it was so sad to read about her daughter that I kept crying, I had to read the first two pages about five times as I couldnt see through my tears!! I will get to finish it soon, Caron was a positive person.
I love james Patterson and have just finished hide and seek which is quite an old one and Minette Walters - just waiting for her next one as ive read everyone of her collection
Havent read any by Gloria Hunniford but do like the other 2 authors. Recently I have been looking around at other author's and have come across CONN IGGULDEN who has written best seller "Emperor" series. (It's a novel not a documentary) Didn't think I would like it to begin with but really now enjoy his books. I am reading one at the moment called "Wolf of the Plains!" about Monguls and Tartars. Fascinating reading and definately absorbing
I've just started reading Pat Cornwells Book Of The Dead...its her latest (I think)...I love her books !
Just finished a true story by David Thomas called Tell Me Why Mummy, about a little boy who was sexually abused by his mother and physically abused by his step father. The abuse is a little uncomfortable reading but its not graphic so wasn't too bad. It wasn't as heartwrenching as some I've read, but it was an interesting read. _________________
i've read all the books by Anne Rice. I love her books ...The Vampire Chronicles- 10 books in total, the New Tales of the Vampires-2 books & The Mayfair Witches -3 books and her individual stand alone novels.
She uses a lot of events in history in her books and i can't put them down when i start them _________________

I am also a fan of Patricia Cornwell. Right now I am reading "Two Little Girls in Blue" by Mary Higgins Clarke. I have read all of her novels. It is about the twin connection between two 3 year old twin girls who are kidnapped and only one is returned and the found twin (with the aide of a twin behaviour specialist) delves into her 'twin talk/connection' to help find her sister. _________________
Those books that you mentioned by Anne Rice Shirley sound quite interesting particularly with the historical background I have put her down in my list of authors for the library and see if I can get one there. _________________ >>>>>>>>

I'm realy struggling with Patricia Cornwells Book Of The Dead It doesn't have what the others have, and It's one of those books where I can read three pages, and not know what I've read becaue I'm glazing over , so have to go back over it. If you get what I mean? It's not gripping me, I'm pushing myself to the end of a chapter, when normally I can't put her books down
