i would have thought they would have at least tried before they refused the blood, never heard of that before.

I wouldnt say no to giving blood. Ive always thought about it but just never seemed to have done it. I think Ill try some point this year - Ill come along with you Debs! Im not sure what the terms are though - Ive heard that if youve had a peircing in the last two years they wont accept you?

its 6 months i checked cause of belly button

the 1st time you go they only give you a cold drink with ur bikkie not tea u get that everytime after and 1st time you go u have to lie down longer(yep u have to lie down everytime)

they do a quick pinprick test on ur thumb to check ur not enemic(can't spell it LOL)and you have to fill in forms saying you haven't done this or that

I always have something to eat at least an hour before hand and i have slow flowing blood so i used to always walk to the hospital - it gets the blood pumping faster so ur in and out quicker.
