I used to love the summer hols and all the programmes that came on. Can anyone remember the Double Deckers? I remember the theme song, and know it was about a lod of kids on a London bus, but I can't really remember what they did lol

How about The Banana Splits Show?? lol One banana two banana three banana four lalala la lala la this was especially good because it had loads of different things on it, in between the antics of the big furry things lol

Cant remember their names tho can you?

Just googled it, it was shown in 1970 - 72

The Double Deckers were a group of seven young adults (aged 9 to 16) living in London who hung out and played together in a converted doubledecker bus. The bus served as a club house for the kids: Scooper, Spring, Billie, Brains, Doughnut, Tiger, and Sticks (the only American member of the gang). The lone adult regular was Albert, a street cleaner, who was friends with the gang.

Ohhhh I'm so glad you do Hannah! Thought I might be the only one lol... also another was 'Why Dont' You'..that used to come up with some brilliant ideas on how to occupy yourself and make things. Will have to see if I can find the info on that too .

OMG ! Why Don't You...i loved that lol i still make 1 of the things they taught...

Loved the Banana Splits as well

How about the Clangers, The Tomorrow People, Chorlton n the Wheelies n Captain Pugwash...we were so innocent then.

Fav cartoon by far was Battle of the Planets followed closely by Count Duckula...yeah i was a bit older but i could catch the more 'adult' jokes in it

Can anyone remember this one???? Pipkins!

Mr Pipkins!!  Who was a puppet maker in a shop. I remember watching this even tho I hated the (scabby) Hartley Hare,  there was an Ostrich called Octavia and the pig, Topov I think was the monkey and Mooney  (I had forgotten the monkey and other thing till I saw this pic!) Oh and a pigeon I can;t remember either. It was screened around 1973 at lunchtimes.

I can remember watching this but have no idea what happened in it lol

Heres Pinky and Perky, I remember those bless em, how cute were they?!

Bill and Ben and Weed too, always a fave, I recently saw on tv the new version and it was quite true to the original, even though obviously the puppetry was far superior lol with NO strings.
