Really, I've only been out of it almost two years now, and I miss it. It was so much fun! Especially the last two years of it. I loved JROTC and skipping class with my friends to go to the movies or just skipping class to hang out on the course outside the JROTC building doing nothing, and I loved most of my teachers, and all my friends were/are awesome. Haha...I lurve high school.

Whats Jrotc?
I hated high school Was bullied all through it, and really couldn't wait till I left. But I did have a couple of close mates who were almost like sisters, we used to hang out after school. Smoke in the toilets, and skive off the odd afternoon to hang out in the local park. It sounds like I was a rebel, but I wasn't, I was a goody two shoes lol _________________

JROTC is Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps. It's like...a program high school kids can take to get a taste of the military, to try it out, see if they may want to join the military later on. In college, you can get into the Senior ROTC program, and if you do you are in the military, or have to join, one of those. JROTC doesn't require you to join the military. I took it for two year, it was really fun, but I don't think military life is for me, so I didn't get into the ROTC program here at college. There are different branches of JROTC and ROTC, for Army, Navy, Air Force, etc. I was Cadet First Sergeant Wheeler, mwahahaha. I was in charge of the class, directly under Col. Reeves and Sgt. Felton. It's set up so that the cadets run everything, like get class together and started, leading the exercises, and leading the marching drills. I love Drill! SHOUT OUT TO YCoHS JROTC PROGRAM (even though none of them know about this forum....haha)
Haha, I wasn't a rebel either, Debs. Awww, why were you bullied!? You are kewl. I got bullied in elementary school...but when I got to high school, it was all good. _________________ Sometimes I don't think birds are really talking to each other. They are just making fun of police sirens.

hmm on one hand i had some great friends in high school, we never skipped classes as in, our bodies were there but our minds werent. we were always doodling on my books and coming up with plans for the weekend which usually just ended up being "get drunk, go to beach"
on the other hand there was the teachers, i felt more bullied by the teachers than i ever did my daily bullies. i blame all my poor grades on them as i know i coulda done better. one teacher decided my coursework wasnt good enough to earn good grades and made me change my decision half way through resulting in me having to stay behind every night to catch up on what id missed, and then to go home and spend most of my time at a desk doing the other classes i was falling back on because of this. i remember on many occasions waking up with pieces of paper stuck to my head.
another thing i loved about high school is being able to come away with a million stories to tell about it. i remember the supply teachers, one of which came in covering my form tutor one morning and warned us that she had been in much worse schools than ours and that we wouldnt be able to scare her away. she was gone by lunch time... antoher time we had a guy come to fix the wheelchair lift and someone stole a tool from his bag, we had an emergency assembly about it syaing that we dont have to own up to it, just put the tool back and no further action would be taken... the person who took the tool did return it to the bag, but moved thed bag to the roof, it was hillarious!
i could go on for ages on stories of kidnap and arson and car tipping, good times lol _________________

I hated High School, but loved the fun I had with mates after school, or in school hours but skiving over the local BMX tracks
I had loads of friends at school and was never bullied, just hated going to school, and I never look back now and wish I was there!!! _________________ Shelley xx |
